Our Commitment to the Future

Sustainable Practices & Zero Waste Management

Building a circular economy around the coconut to ensure environmental stewardship, resource efficiency, and community prosperity. Our strategy is built on four core pillars with clear, measurable goals.

Resource Efficiency

Pillar 1: Circularity & Zero Waste Strategy

At Verdant Acres, our operational ethos mandates that every component of the coconut is utilized. Our goal is to achieve 90% by-product valorization by 2028 through on-site sorting and advanced processing, effectively eliminating landfill disposal.

  • Shells: Valorized into briquettes and activated carbon to reduce reliance on external energy sources.
  • Husks: Upcycled into high-value products like coco-peat and coir for horticulture and industrial use.
  • Wastewater: Reused for biogas production or irrigation through our closed-loop water recycling and rainwater harvesting systems.

Pillar 2: Environmental Stewardship & Efficiency

Water Security

Implementation of closed-loop water recycling for processing and comprehensive rainwater harvesting programs to reduce external water demand and ensure environmental sustainability.

Energy Transition

We are executing a Solar + Hybrid Power Roadmap with a target of sourcing 40% renewable energy for our operations by 2030, significantly cutting our carbon emissions.

Integrated Farming

Our Integrated Pest & Soil Health Program focuses on biological controls to reduce chemical inputs and regenerative practices to increase soil carbon and overall plantation health.

Social Responsibility

Pillar 3: Farmer Livelihoods & Community Impact

Empowering Smallholders

Our Outgrower Program offers guaranteed offtake, improved seedlings, and technical training. We target 3,000 smallholders onboarded by 2027 to secure sustainable sourcing.

Economic Resilience

We aim for a +35% average net income uplift for participating farmer households within 3 years of joining the program, creating long-term economic resilience.

Local Infrastructure

Direct investment in communities through projects like school renovation, clean water points, and supporting women-led coir cooperatives.

Pillar 4: Governance, Compliance & Transparency

Leadership & Oversight

We will appoint an ESG Officer & Sustainability Committee to drive strategy and ensure accountability across all operational and supply chain activities.

Compliance & Certifications

Maintaining all State environmental permits and pursuing pathways for Organic and ISO14001 certification to meet global quality and environmental standards.

Transparency & Auditing

Committing to an annual audited Sustainability Report commencing FY2026, including third-party verification for key claims (e.g., waste diversion, labor standards).
